The problem appears when both Brave New World and Gods and Kings Expansions are enabled. I sent an email and responded, "This is a known issue in 10.13. My machine is a Mac Air (11', 2015, i7) running Mac OS 10.13.6 (High Sierra). Cool except what's the point of the game now.
